On Thursday I showed my presentation about American Restaurants on American culture class, I talked about  a lot of kind of restaurants, such as Mc Donalds and Burger King, that sell fast food, Taco Bell that sell Mexican food, Pizza Hut and Olive Garden that sell Italian food, among other. These the second time that I did English presentation, on the first time, on Business English class, I was so nervous, but on the second time in American Culture presentation I was relax, because I was study a lot my presentation. I thought that I improved im my presentation. On Saturday I went to cinema watch World War Z with my friends. World War Z is a 2013 apocalyptic horror film directed by Marc Forster. The screenplay by Matthew Michael Carnahan is loosely based on the 2006 novel of the same name by Max Brooks. The film stars Brad Pitt as Gerry Lane, a retired United Nations employee who must travel the world to find a way to stop a zombie pandemic. I loved this move, its catch-eye, all the time I was so exciting and ask what will happen. I won’t say the end of the movie, because everybody should watch this movie. It’s so exciting. 

On Sunday was the first time that I went to Movie Theater in Morgantown. Me and some friends watched “This is the end”. This movie talk about follows six friends trapped in a house after a series of strange and catastrophic events devastate Los Angeles. As the world unravels outside, dwindling supplies and cabin fever threaten to tear apart the friendships inside. Eventually, they are forced to leave the house, facing their fate and the true meaning of friendship and redemption. Sincerely, I didn’t like so much, I don’t know why, but I thought that it wasn’t have many actions, and I prefer something more exciting. However, watch all kind of English movies is good to improve my listen skills, now I will try to watch movie every weekend. On Tuesday was the first time in my life that I play American football, I played it in American Culture class. I loved, it was so exciting. First in the class teacher Drake told us about the rules, points on the game, player position and penalties, on the next week we went to play football. It’s so exciting. 

On Monday in IEP – Intensive English Course – we had Tea Party, only for girls. I loved this party, because I knew almost all girls of the IEP, students and teachers. There had some foods to eat, I didn’t try everything. But I tried a dessert that I loved, it’s named Tiramisu, it is a kind of Italian’s dessert, it is a layered dessert, consisting of alternating layers of coffee-soaked biscuits and sweet mixture of mascarpone cheese, eggs and sugar, I have never eaten something like this. On Thursday I did my first English presentation in IEP, about Advertising on Business English’s class. My group, me and my friend Fernanda, talked about Heineken’s advertising: brand, product, slogan, marketing strategy and brand stretching. I was so nervous and anxious, but after our presentation I was happy, because I thought that we had a good presentation and everybody liked our Heineken’s advertising. However, I know that I need to improve my speaking skills, because the subject is not difficult to talking about, but is difficult to speak in good English, with grammar and pronunciation correctly. After this presentation I decided to watch every day English’s movie to improve my English skills, and I think that it will help me very much. Yesterday I watched an English movie, Nine Dead, but the movie had English’s subtitle, I understood eighty five percent of the movie, but I hope that in a few months I will understand everything. 

This is my third week in Morgantown. I am loving this city to study. In Brazil I had lived in a big city, São Paulo. Maybe, São Paulo is the most important city in Brazil, everybody says that São Paulo doesn’t sleep, because there are a lot of things to do all the time, pubs, night clubs, theater movie, museums, bookstores and a lot of kind of restaurants. And now is strange live in a small city, like Morgantown, although I prefer here to study English, because here is easy to make friends. In Summer course everybody knows everybody, every time I see some friends in Mountainlair, I already make American, Aribian, Chinese and Japanese friends. It’s so trilling, because I can speak English with people that have different accents, and it’s very good to improve my English. In Brazil I had studied English, but it was so difficult to look up my speaking skills, because I didn’t practice every day, only once a week and here I practice every day. After summer I will go to university, so I need to improve all English skills, reading, speaking, listen and writing. And I am feeling that it’s work here. And I hope that I will come back to Brazil with a good English.
